A family name, a growing company
Steve Hucovski founded Sabre in 1997 with one commitment: give customers the highest quality service. The name comes from his two daughters, Sarah and Breanna. What started as a heating and cooling business on the west side of the Twin Cities grew into a company of about 140 employees, working across plumbing, HVAC service and new construction.
Before IndusTrack: three systems and no single picture of the day
When Sabre had about 30 vehicles, it ran on two separate tools: a GPS system to see where vehicles were, and a time tracking app to record hours. Neither knew about the other, and neither knew about the schedule.
That got harder with every vehicle and every new project. Plumbing, HVAC service and new construction each ran on their own schedule. Several construction projects ran at the same time, some for months and some for years, each with its own phases. Blueprints and job documents lived in shared drives and folders. The office had no live view of what was happening in the field, so answering a simple question meant checking one system for location, another for hours, and then making phone calls.
Why Sabre chose IndusTrack
Sabre wanted one place for everything: GPS, time tracking, scheduling, materials and checklists, simple enough for the office and the field to use every day. IndusTrack covered all of it in one system, including its own GPS tracking. IndusTrack's office was also close by, and the team could see that the product was built for commercial service work like theirs.
What changed
Vehicles and technicians on one map. Sabre's old GPS system showed vehicles and nothing else. With IndusTrack's own GPS tracking (a hardware add-on), the office sees vehicles and technicians together on one live map, in the same system as the schedule and the job details. Where a crew is, which job they are on and how long they have been there are now one screen, not two systems and a phone call.
Time tracking and payroll. Techs and crews record their time in the IndusTrack mobile app, including on construction projects that run for months. Hours are tied to the job, so the office reviews them in one place instead of collecting, matching and checking separate records before every payroll run.
One schedule across departments. Service calls and every phase of every construction project sit on one schedule. The office can see every crew and every project in one view, and move people between them without losing track of either.

Checklists and materials. Weekly and quarterly checklists track progress on each construction project, so nothing gets missed between phases. The team can see which materials each job needs, from the first phase of a build to the final HVAC work.

Work without a signal. Construction sites often have poor internet. The mobile app keeps working offline, so crews do not lose their notes or time entries when the connection drops.
Job documents in one place. Blueprints, documents and job notes are attached to the job instead of scattered across drives. Everyone works from the same version, and the office can see what was shared and when.
Warranties after the build. When a project wraps up, warranty records are kept digitally instead of on paper, so they are easy to find when a customer calls months or years later.
The result
Amy Moser sums it up: more than 200 people use the system every day, and when something comes up, someone actually answers. Sabre puts the biggest win down to having time tracking, scheduling and dispatch, GPS, materials and job records together instead of in separate tools. The clearest number is payroll, where the team spends about 30% less time than before. More than 8 years in, Sabre has 200+ users on IndusTrack, and the system has grown with them from about 30 vehicles to a company of about 140 people.
